added another short video montage (montage 02) to the main site.
find it here: showreel.
this montage has a running time of 2 minutes, 6 seconds and contains clips from troll bridge, you are being lied to, signal-to-noise, 4am friday, and red letters
still finding it difficult to cut down a larger reel into smaller chunks, but figured the more available content i put up, the better.
like the other clips on this site, quicktime 7+ and javascript enabled are required. the content should load in an overlay of the page and not open up a new window or take you away from the current page.
i was just contact by the IFCT and was told that the RED LETTERS screening this past weekend in Jacksonville was a big success!
i’m really glad to hear it and only wish that i had been able to make it down to Jacksonville to help support this excellent independent festival and the incredible filmmakers who screened at it.
equally exciting is the fact that the festival received a large amount of press coverage and clips from RED LETTERS even made it into an AT&T Tech Channel spot called “Ready for the Weekend with Emma Wilson”. Check it out!
many thanks again to IFCT and to Jacksonville’s supporters of independent cinema!
I’m happy to announce that Red Letters will be screening in the International Festival of Cinema and Technology’s Psychological Drama Shorts program on December 7th, 2007 at 9pm-10:30pm in Jacksonville FL.
The roster of films for this program look fantastic and I’m honored that Red Letters was chosen to be a part of it.
Check out IFCT’s schedule page for more information about this event.
finally got around to submitting the trailer to the Independent Film Channel’s online Medialab. it seems like a really fantastic resource for independent filmmakers and hopefully i’ll be putting up some more content there soon.
check it out: http://medialab.ifc.com/36invisible
be sure to vote!
thanks.
slowly/steadily adding media clips to the main site.
right now there’s a short montage and the trailer for red letters, but there’s much, much more i’ll be uploading in the near future so stay tuned.
the biggest hurdle is breaking down a previously cut reel from dvd— with its own flow and style for that format—into more digestible web-ready units. it’s refreshing to be going back over these films again but also very time consuming.
enjoy: showreel
ps. codewise, i’m displaying the content with a lightbox style effect via javascript, and while all of the code and everything i’m doing is standards complient, i’ve yet to test it on a windows machine.
so… if someone on a windows machine could let me know if you’re experiecing any quirks loading or watching the video, i’d much appreciate it. quicktime 7+ and javascript enabled are required. the content should load in an overlay of the page and not open up a new window or take you away from the current page.
things are moving along steadily on the writing and development fronts at 36invisible so far this year.
in the works is a feature-length documentary (currently submitted for a major grant—fingers-crossed) and two feature-length narrative screenplays (both in various stages of revision).
Red Letters will also be touring with IFCT in the UK, Los Angeles, Orlando and New York City in the coming year and we’re definitely looking forward to that.
stay tuned.
